My wife and I went in to look at a new mattress Saturday 2 weeks ago and was greeted right away and the girl was very good and knew a lot about the different mattress's. She answered all our questions and we were in and out in less than a 1/2 hour. The mattress we bought came less than two weeks later and the will remove our old one for free! I read the long bashing of them on one of the other reviews and it made me want to go there because that review was so absurd wanting ball park numbers and wanting to buy carpet some where else and have them install it . That review would just make someone want to go there to make up for the whining never happy won't hold you to the ball park figure (but absolutely does) nightmare of a customer! Rollinsons were great to me and evryone I talk to says the same thing!

Where do I start with this place? I called in I want to say February 10th (2014 of course) and spoke with a lady named Terry. We were discussing carpet together, and for just rough estimates we were throwing out 1,000 square ft (986 is actual sqft) and she quoted me about $2,800 for carpet, pad, and installation. Knowing Menard's has carpet for a steal right now, I asked her if it would be possible for me to purchase the materials at Menard's and pay Rollinson's for the installation, Terry told me yes, but they can not guarantee their work if I did that. So I told her I'd be in once I got my taxes later that week. February 12th I went in, asked to speak with Terry, and a man greeted me... which was fine... I tell him what I'm there for, he showed me some carpet starting at $3 up to about $3.50 or $4. I tuned him out because Terry and I's calculation for price over the phone was for $1.59 a square foot, so I knew right then and there that I was being taken advantage up, by him trying to up sale me; hence why I wanted to speak to Terry like I had asked when I walked in. Anyways I told him that I'm not in my forever home, and that when switching from an 8 amp to a 12 amp vacuum, the vacuum ate the carpet at the seam, and that I wanted to correct the mistake, but not spend $2,000 if I didn't need too. We got the price off of their cheapest carpet, went to the front desk and threw some numbers around, and sure enough it came out just over $2,000- once I asked the salesman again about me buying the carpet elsewhere and having them install it, but now buying the pad through them, he got very smart and cocky and said "No, not for ~$150 in padding. Why would I pull my guys off of another job to do this?" So all in all they lied to me first off, then I realized that their not very friendly once they learn your not buying from them, and after going to Lowe's in Mt.Vernon, I can have completely new padding, completely new carpet, installation, and a guarantee on installation for $1,327.00 after tax and all, so I also learned that these people are completely over priced. Rollinson's quoted me $550-560 for installation on 986sqft- I Googled professional carpet installers and found a guy from Belleville who will lay carpet for $450, guarantee it, and he brings carpet samples to your house- he will also lay carpet that you purchase from Lowe's or Menards... Going through Menards and through A & H Flooring we would spend $1,128.00. Also the owner of A & H Flooring is a Vet! I do not recommend Rollinson's to save my soul, they're two faced in my opinion, compulsive liars, and basically once you mention you can go elsewhere for cheaper they become very sour in their attitudes. No matter how long your in business or not- all it takes is for one "word of mouth" to be not so appetizing for it to turn off potential customers, and after seeing AT LEAST a $700 savings by driving 20 miles, why wouldn't you? Good job Rollinson's I will NEVER come to you, EVER!
Terry and the crew were extremely helpful. Every time I come in the store they are pleasant and always ask if they can help with anything. If I am looking for something they don't have, they offer to help me find it. I highly recommend the crew for all your home remodeling and appliance needs.
